Our Philosophy

At Shri Mahavir Gaushala, service is not an act; it is a way of life. Founded on the Jain principles of Ahimsa (Non-violence) and Jivdaya (Compassion for all beings), we believe that every living creature deserves a dignified life.

The "20 Rotis" Tradition

"Before we feed ourselves, we feed the voiceless."

For decades, the women of our founding family have upheld a daily vow: preparing 7 rotis for cows, 13 for dogs, and flour for fish—every single morning, without fail.

Seva Ahimsa Sanskar

Areas of Service

We operate a holistic ecosystem that extends beyond simple sheltering.

⚕️

Veterinary Care

We specialize in caring for the destitute, aged, and sick. Our holistic approach combines Allopathy and Homeopathy. Recently, we successfully treated a bull for cancer in just 27 days.

🌱

Ecological Balance

We promote a "Waste-to-Wealth" model, converting organic waste into Vermicompost and utilizing Panchgavya for sustainable agriculture inputs.

🤝

Community Welfare

Through our initiatives, we support local farmers with organic inputs, feed stray animals daily, and maintain a pure cultural atmosphere in the region.

Current Major Initiative

Project Abhay Tirth

A comprehensive relocation and expansion plan necessitated by railway land acquisition.

Why Relocate?

After 25 years at our current location, the land is being acquired for essential railway expansion. To ensure the safety and continuity of care for our 220+ residents, we are developing a permanent, 30-acre sanctuary in Varkhedi. This is not just a move; it is an evolution into a fully sustainable ecosystem.
